The palace may be no more but the apartment, with it's ethnic appointments and laid-back style, reflects the funky, eclectic atmosphere of the modern day neighbourhood.  The area still boasts a plethora of cultural delights and, being just steps from Michelangelo's astounding statue of Moses in the church of St Peter in Chains, and with the Colosseum and Roman Forum around the corner, Spatafora is ideal for a couple who want to be immersed in art and history. When you've exhausted the sites, the area is brimming with bars and excellent restaurants which are scenically situated amongst the winding alleys and cobbled streets of the atmospheric Monti district.
