This simple XVIth century palace was modified in 1612 when Pope Paulus V Borghese wanted to grant to his nearby family palace direct access to Via del Corso: this explains the sharp angle between the already existing Via del Leoncino and the newly opened Via della Fontanella di Borghese, named after a small fountain at the corner between the two streets. The Della Genga, who acquired the building from the Borghese, became famous in 1823 when Cardinal Annibale Della Genga was elected pope (Leo XII). Be swept away by the grand entrance with its paintings, and charmed by the bright, comfortable studio awaiting you on the 1st floor. Decorated in brilliant cheery colors, and tastefully furnished, Verrazzano Studio is as aesthetically pleasing as the surrounding area. Immerse yourself in fashion of the highest order only minutes from your doorstep, and meander down enchanting side streets, discovering Rome-whether it's your 1st time here or a periodic pilgrimage, Verrazzano Studio will delight and incite.
