Fabulous location, spacious and comfortable

Flavio wasn't there when we arrived as arranged by email, after waiting for half an hour in the cold I managed to get a passer by to phone him, he made some excuses and arrived within 30 mins or so. The flat hadn't been cleaned or tidied and the prevous people had left it quite messy - we clearly weren't expected. To Flavio's credit he discounted our fee in compensation and we went out to eat while he sorted the bedding, rubbish etc. We then had a really good stay, although when we departed Flavio didn't arrive to see us off (it was just as well we'd not been asked for the usual hefty deposit or I'd have been really anxious) - I found him half an hour later in one of the neighbouring properties and gave him the key. Maybe I'm being picky, but arrivals, departures and cleanliness seem like basics to me. I'd still recommend the flat for budget accommodation, but take a phone that works in Italy and phone Flavio to make sure he's where he needs to be!

The location in a quiet vicolo between Via Giulia and Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 15 mins to e.g. Vatican, Pantheon and Campo dei Fiori could not be better. There are bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets close by. The apartment is secure, comfortable, well-equipped and attractively decorated.

A folder giving details of e.g. how heating is operated, nearest grocery etc. would have been helpful. Only one bedside lamp and shower head wall bracket needs fixing.

Would very much recommend. Air conditioner makes a din, rattling all the time and needs some repairs. Other than that, magnificent time. Flavio is great!
