The location is wonderful! About halfway between Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, on a small street with great pizza takeout next door, a bakery, good nearby restaurants, and a famous gelati shop around the corner. First floor location with big windows looking down on the street. Large living room with comfortable seating.
This property was not nearly as nice as my last with LIR, an apartment on Campo di Fiori. It just felt a little dingy -- carpets needing cleaning, bathroom door that wouldn't close, a ceiling leak in the living room (not the fault of LIR, obviously.) I was not expecting to rent a fully stocked apartment, but it would be really thoughtful to provide at least a roll of paper towels and a couple of rolls of toilet tissue, please.

Hi, My husband and I stayed in the Metastasio apartment in Rome in July and I'd like to submit a recommendation:
Our keyholder Andrea could not have been friendlier or more helpful, answering our many questions about Rome and what we should expect with the right mix of Roman pride and delight at sharing your amazing city. We loved 'our' apartment in Rome and would definitely stay there again. All the amenities worked well, the bed was very comfortable and the road relatively quiet. A deli, a bakery and a coffee shop are just downstairs, and divine ice cream round the corner - we soon felt like part of the neighbourhood. The locale is brilliant, as in the heat of the day it is close enough to slip home to put your feet up and have a snack, setting off again in time to enjoy the cooler afternoon and evening hours. Thank you to Leisure in Rome for your excellent, efficient service - we have only good things to say and give you a glowing recommendation. Margie

We rented Casa Stella in Rome for 5 days in early September 2010. It was our first trip to Rome, we don't speak the language, and we were guessing at the area we wanted to stay in from reading travel guides. Our experience with Leisure in Rome was just fantastic - quick responses via e-mail while we were planning our trip, helpful recommendations, and a completely painless process to book our stay. Our flight to Rome was delayed but our transportation was there waiting for us as promised, as was the contact person at the apartment. The unit was spacious and in excellent condition, everything was explained to us thoroughly, and the location could not have been better. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to book with Leisure in Rome when we return in future.
