The location was great the building itself, although older, had character.
Unfortunately there was construction next door which shook the building and began jackhammering at 7am. According to the agent it only started the day before. However, the lift was not working (requiring us carrying suitcases up 2 flights), the lighting was not all operable in the unit and it certainly needed a good clean. Although we were 3 people, one of the beds did not have linen but the agent brought it over later. The apartment might have been stylish and cutting edge when it was renovated, but was indeed tired & required maintenance and was quite dark and (personally) depressing. Perhaps it would have been suitable for college students or backpackers but in my opinion was certainly not up to scratch. We had in fact booked for 3 nights but only stayed one. In all fairness we were given the option to leave early as the jackhammering was quite unbearable right under the window. The pictures on the website certainly did not reflect the true condition of the apartment. Too bad the agent did not offer us an alternative apartment as we then had to look for a hotel and only had 2 full days in Rome one of which was wasted moving!

A nightmare. Apartment wasn't cleaned when we arrived for check-in (1900). NO HOT WATER. No toilet supplies. No kitchen basics (towels, etc.).
